Standard of Liberty is a Christ-oriented educational foundation which exists to raise awareness of radical sexual movements
Standard of Liberty is an educational non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation which exists to raise awareness of radical movements overrunning America's Christian-moral-cultural life and to inspire the public will to counteract these trends.
While resisting powerful entities and false ideologies, we hope to reaffirm the value of human life, promote traditional gender roles, proclaim the proper use of the power of pro-creation, support the safety and innocence of children, access trustworthy resources for overcoming sexual confusion and addiction, defend parental rights, strengthen the ideal of conjugal marriage and family, revitalize Christian standards of morality, encourage true religiosity, and preserve religious freedom, all of which are necessary for the maximum temporal health and well-being of human beings and society as well as the continuing effectuation of God's plan of salvation and progression of every soul through Christ.
In June 2005 Stephen and Janice Graham organized the Standard of Liberty in connection with our publishing company, Tidal Wave Books, which was formed in 2002. Steve is an independent CPA and Tidal Wave Books publisher. Janice is an award-winning freelance writer for children and general audiences, editorial director of Tidal Wave Books, and author of four books. They were married in 1973, have seven children and a growing number of grandchildren, and belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Standard of Liberty, its materials and website, are founded on orthodox principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We invite our brothers and sisters everywhere of all denominations who care about preserving faith, freedom, and family to our web site.
"And it came to pass that [Moroni] rent his coat; and he took a piece thereof, and wrote upon it– In memory of our God, our religion, and freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children, and he fastened it upon the end of a pole . . . and he bowed himself to the earth and prayed mightily unto his God for the blessings of liberty to rest upon his brethren, so long as there should a band of Christians remain to possess the land . . . for thus were all the true believers of Christ called . . . because of their belief in Christ who should come. . . And Moroni went forth waving the rent part of his garment in the air that all might see the writing which he had written upon [it], and crying with a loud voice, saying: Behold, whosoever will maintain this title upon the land, let them come forth in the strength of the Lord, and enter into a covenant that they will maintain their rights and their religion, that the Lord God may bless them . . . and thus Moroni planted the standard of liberty among the Nephites." Alma 46
This scripture is also the inspiration for our logo (upper left). It portrays a modern family against Moroni's ancient Standard of Liberty.
